  • Just yesterday, I had a conversation with two African-American teachers. Both, have children in the Senior class at the local high school. One, removed her twin boys from Physics, and the other removed her daughter from Calculus, at the beginning of this semester.

  • Cavalier- There was a downturn in economic activity in 1937, not a rebound. The year 1938 was not a good one for the U.S. economy. It WAS World War II, which turned into a shooting war, in 1939, that finally spurred growth.

  • If Perry is "lucky" then Clinton was "lucky". If Perry has benifited from the Oil boom then Clinton just benefited from the end of the Cold War. Give Reagan and Bush 41 the credit, if you are going to apply that standard to Perry.

  • Before you habg your hat on that Appeals Court, in Cincinnatti, remember that the US Supreme Court recently went out of its way to chastize it for not understanding the law! Never had a more harsh statement been sent down to an Appeals Court.

  • A report issued in 2008 by the Electric Powers Group stated that America will exceed all available supply of current electric generating facilities by 2030. They projected the all the natural gas in Canada, the US and Mexico would not meet the projected demand.

  • This country suffers rolling blackouts because of air conditioner demand on during a heat wave. We are restricted in building nuclear power plants. Coal fired plants are greatly restricted or being closed down. Hydroelectric dams are impossible to build because of environmentalists.
